You can borrow a variety of materials from the library, including some that you might expect and some that you might not.
Even if we don't have something in our collection, there's a good chance you can get it through interlibrary loan.
As a library, we do--of course--have books and journals, which are in either of two formats:
Our print books are located in two areas. Most are found on the 4th floor, while a small collection of U.S. Government documents are located on the 2nd floor. If you have difficulty finding a specific book, librarians have offices on both of these floors; they will be happy to help you.
Print books may be initially borrowed for the following periods:
Both electronic books and electronic journal articles are accessed by clicking on their respective hyperlinks, which may be found through the library website.
Print journals are located on the 2nd floor. You may not borrow these. However, using the free scanners provided on the ground floor of the library, you may scan any articles of interest and either save the resulting file to a USB drive or email it to yourself.
The Evans Library has a lot, but we don't have everything.
If you want a book or a journal article that's not in our collections:
If requesting a print copy, you will be notified when it is ready to be picked up at the library's iDesk. Otherwise, you will be alerted through email when the file of your scan is available for download.
You can borrow more than books from the Evans Library.
By going to the library's iDesk, located on the ground floor, you can borrow a wide assortment of technology items ranging from charging cables to virtual reality headsets.
Refer to the Technology Lending Service list to learn all about the items you can borrow.
