Health

Your success at Florida Tech depends upon your remaining in good health.

Described below are requirements for student health insurance policies, as well as campus resources that can help you remain healthy, such as the Holzer Health Center, Student Counseling services, and the Clemente Center.

Student Health Insurance Requirements

Full-time undergraduate and graduate students are required to have health insurance. Florida Tech has therefore partnered with UnitedHealthcare to provide access to an affordable insurance plan that meets the requirements of the University Student Health Insurance Plan. 

A description of the plan may be accessed via the Student Health Insurance Program website.  Questions may be emailed to studenthealthinsurance@fit.edu.

The Holzer Health Center

The Holzer Health Center provides a variety of medical services, including but not limited to the treatment of illnesses and injuries, medical testing, and vaccinations.  For a full list of services, please refer to the Services website.

Mental Health & Wellness Services

Both adjusting to a new environment and meeting the academic demands of your classes can be stressful.  Florida Tech's Student Counseling Center is there to help you.

Florida Tech also partners with TalkCampus, an app that allows students to connect with students from campuses around the world for support.

The Clemente Center & The Panther Aquatic Center

Regular physical activity/exercise can be an important contributor to your well-being.

The Clemente Center for Sports and Recreation, which includes two gyms, an aerobics room, a weight room, and a racquetball court, hosts a variety of activities.

 

The Clemente Center is adjacent to the Panther Aquatic Center, which includes a competition pool and a recreation pool, both with swimming lanes.  Other pools on campus include the Brownlee Hall Pool and the Southgate Pool.
