Citation Managers can be a great organizing tool as you gather your research and sources for your thesis or dissertation. They are tools that help you store and organize references, as well as create citations and bibliographies for you. Here is a chart comparing the more commonly used options.

Zotero

Zotero is a free, open-source citation management software. It can save you a lot of time and energy when you are working on gathering research. Watch these videos for step by step help getting started with Zotero. Saving sources directly from the library databases can also accomplished using Zotero.
