Perceivable Criteria

To create perceivable content, you should :

  • Provide text alternatives for images.
  • Provide captions and transcripts for media.
  • Create content that can be presented in different ways without losing meaning.
  • Provide sufficient color contrast to make your text readable and legible.

Operable Criteria

  • Provide a clear structure with headings.
  • Create descriptive links.
  • Check for keyboard accessibility.
  • Provide sufficient time to read and use content.
  • Avoid content that flashes.

Understandable Criteria

  • Provide clear directions.
  • Aim for consistency.
  • Use plain language.
  • Identify the language (HyperText Markup Language (HTML).

Robust Criteria

Compatible - Websites should be compatible with different browsers, devices, and assistive technologies.
