Records for e-books appear in the Library Catalog and can be found by searching the Catalog by author, title, keyword, or subject (L.C. Subject Headings). The databases and e-book collections below allow searching to chapter and page level.
Books in the Evans Library are cataloged according the Library of Congress Classification system. Reserve books are shelved on the1st floor. Reference books and books that may be borrowed are on the 4th floor of the Library. Here are some call numbers often used by DMES professors and students:
GB - Wetlands, aquifers
GC - Oceanography, estuarine oceanography, density, ocean-atmosphere interaction, currents
QC - Marine meteorology
QR - Marine microbiology
RA - Water supply related to public health
TA - Environmental engineering, fluid dynamics and mechanics, fracture mechanics, materials strength/fatigue, vibration
TC - Water supply engineering, dredging, submarine building, harbors and coast protective works, river protective works
TD - Environmental technology including environmental protection and pollution
