One of the best shows on television to become acquainted with venture capitalists is called "Shark Tank." Some examples of the products that are now mainstream and available to the public include:

Wicked Good Cupcakes
– these are cupcakes that are shipped throughout the country (in a jar). Check out the pitch they made on Shark Tank! One of the “sharks” on the show received a 45-cent royalty on every jar that was sold by Wicked Good Cupcakes. They have since sold millions of dollars in product
Scrub Daddy
– this is a great product that allows a reusable sponge to change form based on the temperatures of the water. The shape of the sponge lets users clean the front and back of kitchen utensils simultaneously. One of the “sharks” decided to take the bait and offered $200,000 for a 20-percent equity stake on the company. This company has also made millions of dollars in revenue since their participation on the show! Check out the episode!
Squatty Potty
– this is a great product that helps people with their bowel movements. This company saw immense growth with $33 million in sales by 2017. This was based on an initial investment of $350,000 with a 10% equity stake in the company. Check out the episode!
