Who are Community Patrons?

Community patrons are those not classified as Florida Tech students, staff, or faculty.  Community patrons include alumni, ELS, Eastern Florida State College and University of Central Florida students as well as the general public.

Community Patron library services

The Evans Library is open to all community patrons for academic purposes.

Library Cards

Community users cannot be issued library cards, unless they are Florida Tech alumni, ELS students, Pilot College students, current Eastern Florida State College or University of Central Florida students, or dependents of Florida Tech faculty and staff (Florida tech faculty or staff must be present at the time of card issue).

Access to Library Databases and Internet

Community patrons may request temporary guest (TRACKS) logins from the iDesk to access subscription databases from within the library only. Hours of usage for community patrons are 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday.

To obtain a guest login, stop by the iDesk with your photo ID. Access is on a first come, first served basis, and may be limited in order to accommodate Florida Tech students.

Printing, Copying, and Scanning Services

Community users (patrons without TRACKS accounts) may scan (free), and copy (for a fee) Library materials within the Library.
