Peer-reviewed journals (also called refereed or scholarly) represent the highest quality information that can be consulted and are the primary method for publishing new research.
Most databases allow you to limit your search to only scholarly or peer-reviewed articles.
At this time there are many lists of journal abbreviations, but none includes every possible title. We have found particular success in deciphering journal titles using the CAS Source Index.
